Server Rules
On this page
These are the official rules of the RAIDADOS community, on Discord and on the game server. Read them carefully: ignorance is no excuse. Questions? Open a ticket on Discord.
The Rules are part of the Terms of Use.
1. General rules
Cheating, hacks and scripts
Forbidden: any program, script, bot, or macro that gives an unfair advantage. Suspicion leads to investigation and a ban.
VAC / EAC bans
Recent bans in other games may block access. EAC bans in Rust are treated strictly and may be permanent.
Ban evasion
Trying to get around a ban with alternate accounts results in a permanent ban for every account involved.
Association
Knowingly cooperating with cheaters can punish individuals or whole teams. If you can prove you did not know, open a ban appeal ticket for review.
VPN use
Players on a VPN or proxy with fewer than 50 hours on the server may be blocked. If you genuinely need a VPN to play, talk to Support first. New accounts using a VPN may be blocked as a security measure.
Griefing and server impact
Actions that degrade the server (entity spam, mass crafting or dropping, abusive electricity, and similar) are punished, and removed resources are not refunded.
Glitching
Glitches in general are not policed by default, but being outside the map bounds (under the terrain, inside rocks) is forbidden. Report it via F7 and by ticket on Discord.
Fake cheating and false reports
Pretending to cheat in order to provoke others, or submitting manipulated evidence, is punishable, including when done from new or automated accounts.
The toxicity line
Rust is a competitive and often toxic game: trash talk, taunting and heated language after a raid are part of it and are not punished. The line is crossed by discrimination (race, religion, gender, sexuality, nationality), threats, harassment that follows a player over time, sharing someone's personal data and any content involving minors — all of which the offensive-content and conduct rules already forbid. When in doubt, staff decide: the test is "really bad", not "rude".
Offensive content
Signs, names, or content with hate speech or bigotry may be removed without warning and lead to further action. Trash talk in the heat of a fight is not this; hate speech is.
2. Group limits
Team size
Maximum of 4 players per team. Alliances between groups are allowed only while the cap of 4 is respected; violations result in penalties.
Base limits
The number of players authorised on a base may exceed the team cap, as long as they are not all online at the same time. Example: a 4-player team may have a base with 5 or more authorisations, as long as at most 4 are online simultaneously for raiding, roaming, farming, going AFK, or anything else.
Alliances and partnerships
Cooperation between groups that exceeds the cap of 4 players per team is not allowed. Identified coordination results in penalties, including a ban if it is repeated.
Base sharing and donation
Giving or receiving bases is fine, as long as the receiving team or player respects the cap of 4 players.
Non-aggression pacts
Any agreement not to attack another team is treated as an alliance. Messages suggesting help between teams are forbidden.
Trading
Item trading between players is unrestricted.
Support's decision is final
If in doubt, open a support ticket: Support's decision is final.
3. Conduct rules (chat, Discord and VOIP)
Racism, hate speech and discrimination
Forbidden: racism, homophobia, xenophobia, sexism, or any form of discrimination. Violations bring severe punishment, including a permanent ban.
Evidence integrity
Evidence sent by ticket must be complete and unmanipulated. Edits that distort the facts can punish both the reporter and the reported.
Provocation
Inciting others to break the rules is forbidden and punishable.
Chat spam
Spam or abuse of text and voice chat may result in restrictions. Teams that abuse it are punished too.
Doxing
Forbidden: sharing other people's personal data (real names, addresses, phone numbers).
Real-life threats
In-game fights are different from real threats. Any threat outside the context of the game is forbidden and must be reported.
4. Responsibility
You know the rules
It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules. "I didn't know" is not a defence.
Team responsibility
You answer for what your team does. Be careful who you invite; excuses like "I was offline" do not count.
Rule updates
Rules can change; check them periodically. Continuing to play after a change means accepting the version in force.
Bans apply across the network
Bans applied on any server of the RAIDADOS network apply across the whole network.
5. Monitoring and records
To enforce these rules we record: play sessions, combat and gathering events, map positions, chat messages, the connection IP address (hashed at collection: the address itself is never stored), and voice chat usage time (duration only).
Each data type has a purpose, a legal basis, and a retention period set out in the Privacy Policy: positions for 24 months in raw form, chat for 24 months, IP as a hash only for 24 months from the last connection made from that address and while a ban on the account exists, ticket attachments for 1 year.
We do not record voice audio: from voice chat we only measure how long each player spoke.
6. Sanctions and appeal
Sanctions range from a warning and a mute to a kick, a temporary suspension, and a permanent ban, according to severity and repetition.
No permanent ban is applied solely by an automated decision. Automated systems may kick, temporarily suspend, or flag an account for review; the final decision is always confirmed by a member of the team, and the record names who confirmed it.
To appeal, open an appeal ticket. Whenever possible, the person reviewing the appeal is not the one who applied the sanction. You are entitled to know the reason; we may withhold detection details whose disclosure would compromise our anti-cheat protection.
This is a translation. The original is the Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR) version; if the versions diverge, the Portuguese version prevails.
